We really had a great time, Grant and Team had everything sorted to the tee. Enjoyed a good mix of tour time and off time, well planned.

I wanted to thank you all for the guidance and support throughout our stay in Pretoria. I speak on behalf of all staff and players when I say this experience could not have been any better, which is primarily due to the support we had from everyone on your team. The safari and stadium tour were particular highlights. Additionally, the support George provided me with throughout the medical situation was exemplary. I am hopeful we get the opportunity to work with each other again in the future.

What an amazing experience. Everything was perfectly organized and top class. It was so enjoyable to tour with an ex Springbok player and also meet other ex Springbok and All Black players during the hospitality. Hope to tour with you again soon!

First of all, I can start by saying we would not have changed any part of the itinerary, it was just perfect… Cape Town of course did not disappoint, the highlight being the Cape Peninsula tour with our guide John who was great, very knowledgeable and a gentleman. As you know the hotel was perfectly located, rooms a little dated but fine. The staff in the restaurant and bar were lovely as was the food….breakfast was excellent. The Chapter House in Franschhoek – Highly recommended…superb accommodation and wonderful staff who could not do enough for us….wonderful breakfast. Misty Waves – Hermanus – The rooms were just incredible, as you know we had the penthouse suites , extremely luxurious. We only stayed one night so we did not spend much time in the hotel. Beacon Isle – Plettenberg, The hotel was undergoing renovations while we were there so the entrance was closed, some bar areas were also closed and service was lacking at times. I’m sure it will be lovely when finished. Very iconic hotel, great views in a lovely location. The highlight for us in Plettenburg was a constant show from the Whales which were in abundance in the Bay while we were there – more so than Hermanus. We also went to the elephant sanctuary in the Crags where we walked with the Elephants, very emotional experience for me, it was just wonderful !! I would like to give a special mention to our driver Shameem, such a warm and friendly person, a wonderful driver always putting our safety first. He definitely added a fun element to our transfers. Our driver in Plettenberg was also a lovely man. He couldn’t have been any more accommodating. Saving the best till last – Ukhozi Lodge – WOW this is one special place. !! We had an amazing time here, the warm welcome from everyone, the food, the rooms, the lodge, the game drives, just amazing. We were very lucky we got to see so many animals thanks to Megan our guide. I went to see some rooms in the Main lodge while I was there which are perfect for families, Ukhozi is Adult only which is a great option. They also brought me to see the River Lodge which was stunning, such a beautiful setting. I think I left a little piece of my heart in South Africa, thanks again for organising. Can’t wait to return. 😊

Just a brief note to congratulate you, your team and George de Beer on a fabulous jaunt to SA. We may only have been the 12 apostles but the crack was terrific. The Sandton hotel was very good; the Protea did what it said on the tin but Elephant Lodge was simply stunning - as I am sure you knew from your inspection. The rest of the party (my hyper-critical wife included) were bowled over by the facilities and the game drives. I think we saw just about everything bar a leopard. For myself, the golf at Skukuza with two others (Stephen and Jeff) with George was just hilarious: warthogs on the fourth, monkeys attempting to steal the sandwiches on the 6th and the highlight of the day: the hippo up the side of the 12th. No-one was going anywhere near their approach shots until the resort manager moved her along! I think we dumped 6 balls in the water from the 18th but at least Jeff and I cleared it second time and I got the most raucous cheer of the day (actually, a Bronx cheer) from the onlookers for chipping in for a birdie 2. Haven't enjoyed a game of dreadful golf (although Jeff is a serious golfer) as much for years. George could not have done enough for us and we had the pleasure of meeting his good lady and kids. Everyone came home hell bent on returning for the next Sharks and Stormers jaunt. In addition, we all know that travelling via Heathrow is more expensive but the routing via Dubai is a killer. You might look at offering a Heathrow option next time, no matter the cost. So, hats off to all of you: one of the most enjoyable trips I have ever been on - and that's after 50 years in the travel trade! And damn the results: we had the pleasure of meeting most of the team and they were very appreciative of the effort we had made to get there. Like the late John Pullin of England in 1972: 'We may not be any good but at least we showed up.' Best wishes and sincere thanks.

This was so much fun!!! So glad that we joined this group, and did not do it on our own. The extra whiskey tasting and lunch at the caves just added to the experience, and we might not have done it on our own. At the end of the day, we feel it was worth every cent, and look forward to possible experiences in the future!!! Thank you for making this memorable!
